Aminu Maigari © SS.com NFF insists on credible poll in Imo NIGERIA




The Nigeria Football Federation has charged all stakeholders of the game in Imo state to prepare for free and fair elections this weekend when new executives are elected into the board of the Imo state football association.

NFF President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari said on Thursday that it would not augur well for transparency and credibility should methods be applied to force some persons on the Imo state FA other than the will of the good people of the State.Maigari equally urged all football stakeholders in Imo state to ensure flawless polls at the elections slated for Saturday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
“We trust all football stakeholders to abide by the statutes that govern the running of the game in the elections into Imo state FA. The people of the state truly love the game and sports generally and we believe that they will ensure that this is done,” said Maigari.
