Thirteen cleared for women polls NIGERIA




The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) electoral committee for the January 29 elections into the remaining elective executive committee and board members position of the football house on Thursday made public the outcome of the two-day screening exercise which took place between January 18 and 19.

The elective elections include that of the women, national and amateur leagues.NFF chief media officer Ademola Olajire told SuperSport.com that 13 candidates were cleared for the women league; nine candidates scaled the hurdle for the national league while the same number was equally approved for the amateur league.
Those cleared for the women league are Alhaja Ayo Omidiran, Aisha Falode, Dilichukwu Onyedinma, Matilda Otuene, Henrietta Ukaigwe, Irabor Faith Uwugiaen, Peter Ogueche and Adeoye Adebowale.
Others include Edith Nwakire, Ruth Olowookere, Princess Bola Jegede, Iyonhe Grace Ngugemen and Gloria Shoda. National league has Stephen Yakubu Gyebgon, Chief Emeka Inyama, Majekodunmi Ganiyu, Nuhu E. Tanko, Emmanuel Zira, Kalli Babagana, Ochiagba Emmanuel, Kunle Soname and Greg Abang while listed for the amateur league include Jarret Tenabe, Ahmad Muazu Kawu, Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Chukwu Christian and Dele Ogungbemi.
Also cleared are Alhaji Kabir Falalu, Tanko Bawa, Abubakar Ladan and Joseph Akwa.
The board of each league is composed of seven persons, that is, a chairman and six ordinary members and one from each of the geo-political zones of the country.
