Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is thrilled with Hapoel Tel Aviv's first win of the Uefa Champions League group phase, and says the team can finish third.
The Israeli club claimed a 3-0 win over Portugal's Benfica, with Enyeama notching up four saves along the way, and he says the win has given the team a lift. "We were very confident going into this game, and I can’t tell you how happy we are to get this win," he told KickOffNigeria.com.
"We have played well throughout this campaign, but we have just been unlucky with results.
"With this result, we hope we can win our last game and qualify for the Europa League."
That last game is against group leaders Schalke in Germany, but Enyeama says Hapoel go on with no fear.
"We did very well against them when they came here. Even Raul and their other strikers came over to congratulate me on a very good game at the end, and if we can take our chances, then we can win."
But that victory will not be enough unless thrid placed Benfica lose at home to Lyon.
"We will just do our best and see what happens," Enyeama said.
